Distraction Addiction

What are the long term effects of too much information? How attached are you to your phone? Are Social Media Friends real? Can you put your phone down? Are you addicted to your Smartphone?

Part of my Social Media Detox this month is because I’ve seen the changes in my behavior that has distanced myself from reality, being personable, and knowing how to communicate with actual human beings lol. I’m sure you have some symptoms as well and it’s okay.

But there are some things you should take from this video if anything, these devices are learning you, as much as you think you’re learning from it. As you connect with theses devices they take account of everything you do. You’re giving away more than you think you’re getting back. The information you rely on to get paid, eat, and your every location is floating around waiting for someone or some company to use to entice you to do whatever they want. That’s a lot of power if you think about it and unconsciously seems like a great idea to not have to think as much, but this is a tool not to be used as mind control but something your mind should be using to better yourself. Put it down for a while and strengthen your interpersonal skills while you still can. Read a book, they still exist… Go outside and leave your phone on the charger on purpose for once. You won’t die, and it’s needed trust me.
