Here’s a quick Background story of me and one of the leading designers of our generation, Anifa Mvuemba. Anifa and I both began at Morgan State University in 2006. At the time Morgan had no Fashion program, or was just getting it started. My sophomore year I changed my major to Family and Consumer science with a concentration in Fashion Merchandising to become a buyer. My first course was intro to sewing and Anifa was in my class. Anifa was soo good and advanced that our professor assigned her to teacher assistant, partly because she never would show up. But Anifa, she pretty much ran the class and assisted everyone with their sewing. Anifa taught me how to sew and watching how amazing her brand has developed and how much she’s blossomed, I am beyond proud to even say I went to the same school let alone had her teach me so much. She is an amazing soul; soft spoken, and a god fearing black women that deserves every accolades coming her way. And at this point if you’re a black women and don’t have Hanifa in your closet it’s a problem. Go shop with her Immediately!
