What the hell is Discord? and Why should I join yours?
My exact thoughts when I received my first discord invite for a cryptocurrency community peddling NFTs. I know a lot of you, like me, have this same thought when I’m promoting joining the G.O.O.N.S. Discord. But essentially its a community like twitter is a social media community, Discord is like a more focused twitter community If I had to explain it in layman’s terms. A focus group of some sort that gathers people who have the same interest. Most are used to promote an NFT collection, Most have connections to Crypto, NFT’s, and different groups of people all over the world communicating together about a specific subject matter. The community usually dictates the direction of the product, or NFT collection. Members-Only vibes if you will…
My first engagement with Discord happened to be with the Nifty’s Matrix NFT’s that dropped last month that generated almost 300,000 people wanting 100,000 NFTs and a shitstorm of waiting for the release, waiting in line to be able to purchase (Mint), and finally collecting the Matrix NFT’s in which I had to hack the Nifty’s site finding a loophole in their trying to accommodate those who were in line and those just finding out about the collection’s release. I minted 4 total at $50 a piece, and plan on holding on for dear life until I see some major profit in the marketplace for them. Some are comically listed for 99 million dollars and others as cheap as $90. Either way it was worth it learning how crazy a release can get, what a whitelist is, and the probability of Minting a high demand NFT.
My favorite Discord Server is the Krypto Kronikz Discord, simply because they were the most welcoming, gave the most information and are growing their community organically using crypto giveaways, incentivized invites, and NFT’s that are cool, collectible, and planned out perfectly to make a profit in the near future. Ive minted 2 Kronikz already and upon the end of Mint today every kronik you mint will be airdropped a match to make baby kronkiz so like a buy one get one free situation that will yield another free NFT. Minting a Kronik at 1 SOL and listing them in the marketplace at 50 SOL is a 50x profit if sold. Its crazy but something we’re seeing in the NFT world happen everyday! “Whales” or large investors minting 25 NFT’s at once to build their collections. I credit the Krypto Kronikz because Without the KK Discord I wouldn’t know any of this and that’s why it is important to join these discords and understand what the community is planning and building behind these NFT collections and why people would spend so much to become apart of these NFT communities.
Don’t be fooled by these Celebrity backed projects with no celebrity engagement in the discord. Most celebrities don’t have a clue what an NFT is and are late adopters like the rest of the world. Researching the community joining the discords and engaging with the Developers and community enthusiast in the discord is the only sure way I know not to get fooled into minting a NFT that isn’t worth the mint price let alone the hype of a what if profit on the backend. Cryptocurrency and NFT’s being so new there are a lot of people taking advantage of those who don’t do their research and just buy anything with a name attached to it.

The Metaverse and Crypto is the future, Discord is the secret meeting place that all the people who are creating it communicate, you just have to join and pay attention.
