Throwback Thursday!

Around this time in 2016 I was transitioning from working together with Black on Enspire Streetwear, and rebranding GoonMilk for myself. Earlier that year I had grown bored of running my brand with little to no help so I decided to team up with my bro to expand his newly built brand and get some experience working with others. One thing led to another and the usual fall out pursued over money and work provided. It showed me a different side of who I was and what I wanted out of this business, and how those things didn’t correlate to working under other people. I enjoy my creative freedom more than anything else and when that is disrupted I am not the easiest to work with. I know this, and I know this can be perceived as a flaw but to me its just how i’m wired, I work hard but only on things I feel good about. I don’t take direction well when I know more than the person giving the directions and thats how I felt at this point. So I decided to dive back deeper into my own brand. And what came about was some of my most creative work to date. Using voiceovers from movies I love, like “Don’t be a menace” and “Friday” that spoke to my brand. Shot by my bro Arrington, equally as creative probably even more to be honest. We also shot it at the local liquor store on Main street in Upper Marlboro. This is without a doubt one of my favorite GoonMilk ads to date. Adversely it was a sign to black that i had given up on his brand which wasn’t totally true I just couldn’t afford to run his and mine at the same time while not getting paid from his. Nonetheless we’ve grown wiser and squashed whatever discrepancies we faced back then and are back cool and I wish bro nothing but success which he undoubtedly will attain because thats just how us guys from Capitol Heights are built, we Get Out Of Negative Situations.

But with no further adieu I present to you, “Hurry Up n Buy!” my first Goonmilk commercial.
