Cone Drills
At my big age of 36 I still can’t go a week without getting in the gym to get some shots up or running 5s anywhere I can. I play ball up to three times a week for cardio, and to show these young guys I still can get a bucket anytime I want to. Also I just love the game I love the mental aspect of strategy and perfecting skills that I believe are a dying art in the game of basketball. The mid-range shot, mirroring your moves on both sides of the court, help defense, pick and roll offense, angles, and all the fundamental elements of basketball that seem to be a dying art. I’m going to try my hand in coaching the youth this year at WLA as an assistant/trainer, so Cone Drills is just a step in that direction using social media to showcase skill set and personal entertainment for myself. Cone Drills is literally me tking the moves I work on and turning defenders into those cone drills. You can work on moves all day long with a trainer but if you cant convert those drills to real life gameplay 5 on 5 you are just wasting your time and money on trainers. So I started filming my workouts highlighting me turning defenders into Cone Drills!

Also highlighting what really grinds my gears in todays basketball, whether it be missed super difficult layups when the basics would have got it done, or just bonehead plays that could get someone hurt. here’s an example:
