He Need Some Milk GoonMilk Ad

As you all may or may not know I am A WALKING BUCKET! on the basketball court and this past week I was in the gym getting my boooogie on while E recorded the games, when a hater undercut me as I hit the game winning shot. Rolled my ankle pretty bad and now may have to sit out of the P.I.T.S. League which starts in 8 days! Pissed me off but instead of sitting around sulking bout it I chose to turn it into an ad.

I can turn any L into a Lesson.

"He Need Some Milk!" GoonMilk Ad by Avante D. Davis for GoonMilk.

Ima bounce back tho, Im back jogging on my ankle already so I should be back on the court in no time.

Furthermore, Im really excited about the P.I.T.S. league. This year is our First year sponsoring a team and the League’s tenth year anniversary! We even have brand New jerseys unlike any year prior in the P.I.T.S.

WallStar Weekend

If you follow the NBA you know All Star weekend in Charlotte NC was this passed weekend. Also if you live in the DMV you know that the Wizards star John Wall is injured and going through a tough time not only dealing with his injuries but it has just been brought to light that his mom is battling Cancer. Hearing this news I not only wanted to extend my support in a trying time to not only an NBA Allstar caliber player but a stand up guy in the DMV community.

It was first made into a mockery by Stephen A. Smith that Wall spent too much time in DC nightclubs like Rosebar and partied too much. Wall being a young star on and off the court rebuttal’d with the greatest response ever with “Don’t you go to work and get off and want to socialize and relax, why can’t I?”. Something I would say if I was in the same position. That inspired the thought of saying lets create a john wall x rosebar jersey, not the fact that i thought he was in the club too much but celebrating having a all star damn near in arms length of you in the club when most people never get to meet or be in a room with a celebrity of Wall’s caliber.

The timing of the creation of the jersey seemed perfect because of All Star weekend. And what better time to drop the jersey than All Star weekend in Wall’s home state of North Carolina. Not realizing how much of a toll this whole Rosebar incident on ESPN months ago may have took on John and fighting the thoughts of letting someone create one before me that was better than mine I hastily dropped the jerseys without checking to make sure John was cool with it and thats my fault but I do want to propose a way to make all parties benefit. Knowing everything that John has going on at the moment with family and his mom battling cancer I can relate to the feeling of the fear of losing your mom, its scary. My mom is a two time cancer survivor (breast, ovarian) and one of the strongest people I know. Losing her would be detrimental not only to me but all those that she has touched in her many years. That being said I would like to take the proceeds of each jersey sale and donate to a charitable cancer non profit organization. Lets help uplift our DC All Star in his time of need. So I need your help reaching out to media outlets and Charity organizations to get this out and Support a great person and a great cause in fighting cancer.

Government Cheese

For the Past month and a half the US Government has been forced to shut down leaving 800,000 employees without work and much needed checks to survive. My Mother being a Govt. employee, I saw first hand the effects of this shutdown and I am just amazed that something like this could happen and how vast of an impact it can cause. Airports shutting down because of lack of air traffic controllers, TSA not being paid, Homeland Security not being paid while on furlough. And all over a wall that Mexicans are gonna dig under, go around, and climb over anyway. This is the land of the free but that Furlough made you realize just how costly freedom is. Also How Important it is to have multiple streams of income.

Now that the furlough is over and people are filing back into their govt jobs, I wonder how many people woke up and realized that a career in the government isn’t really a career and begun to research starting a business? That was my first thought once I figured out what a Furlough was. Because if you’re your own boss can’t nobody tell you, your check not coming, you get what you put into it. Nonetheless I am glad that people are back working and getting back pay because things around here were getting hectic and I know Walmart security was getting scared. People are ruthless when they’re backed into a corner for survival.

I made this promo short after Trump bitch ass got elected and I figured it fit well with the current political climate.

its still Fuck 45.

Bad Lil Shawty

DMV artist K’ron drops his latest visual for BLS shot by Cool Kids Films.

Last month Amber hit me up saying she was doing wardrobe for an artists video and wanted a few pieces to style some extras, but ended up getting to style the artist in one of our custom jackets and and a military jacket on the antagonist in the video. Dope concept and the song is fire. Much appreciation to Amber (@AmbersReign) for making the play happen, she’s seen in the video as well (light skin with the green short cut) in the party scene.

Another great look to begin the year off for GoonMilk.

gUERILLA mARKETING

Scanposters.png

About two years ago, I created the GoonMilk QR scan code to generate more traffic toward the site. It uses your smart phone camera to instantly link you to GoonMilk.co. At first I tried to push Tees and apparel with the QR code on it but never really caught any traction. I guess it flew over people’s heads that you could buy a tee from off your tee. But recently I cooked up the idea to post the QR scan code all round the DMV along with posters teasing the upcoming GOONS drop.

Incorporating technology within the shopping experience has been one of my greatest ideas as of late because shopping in stores has become a hassle now that you can basically do any and everything from your smart phone. In a day and age where robots are projected to take over the postal service, you never want to be behind the curve of technology and innovation when it comes to your business. To me, QR codes are just a step in the right direction; using them for special events, promo sales, or even scavenger hunts in the near future will be my next step. And with Augmented Reality making major waves in the technology industry, soon enough you want even have to go to a store to try clothes on. Just Scan a QR mirror and the mirror transforms into your personal dressing room, how dope would that be?

Anyways thats my genius idea of the day. Check out a few of the posters that have been spread throughout the DMV and how to use the QR codes below.
